Sketches

Project Overview:

This body of work represents a series of hand sketch studies developed to strengthen spatial visualization, proportion control, and material expression. The drawings explore interior perspective, architectural detailing, and light/shadow relationships as foundational tools for communicating design intent.

These studies prioritize clarity of form and spatial depth while maintaining disciplined line work and tonal hierarchy.

Scope & Deliverables:

One-point and two-point interior perspectives

  • Elevation studies

  • Millwork and built-in detailing

  • Light and shadow exploration

  • Composition and proportion exercises

All sketches were executed by hand using graphite and ink, with attention to line weight variation and tonal rendering.

Design Intent:

These sketches develop spatial clarity, proportion control, and atmospheric depth through disciplined line work and tonal variation. Each study reinforces perspective accuracy and material expression, using drawing as a tool to test ideas and communicate space with precision.

Technical Highlights:

  • Controlled line weight hierarchy

  • Accurate perspective construction

  • Tonal variation to indicate depth

  • Consistent scale relationships

  • Balanced composition and negative space
